Putting it into Words - Becoming a Blogger Just about everyone has something of importance to say. For instance, if you were a mother, then you have stories of success and failure in raising children. If you work on cars, you have great tips on how to fix things. Then, if you love to travel, your journal is full of exciting (and not so exciting) places of interest. Did you know you can take your real life experiences and turn them into money - you CAN! Blogging is the new rage, which is similar to writing an article but in a more relaxed and personal tone. Because of this, you do not have to be a successful, published writer to become a blogger. Today, blogging sites are everywhere. All you need to do is do a search through Google.com or any search engine for "Blog Sites" and you will receive hundreds or search returns. Many of these found sites pay money for people to share information. To find out, you would simply log onto the site and read the information provided to see if they do in fact hire bloggers. If you cannot find the information, then send a short and focused email to the editor or contact person asking. Keep in mind that many blog sites do not pay a tremendous amount of money but if you were looking for a little income or holiday money, blogging is an exceptional way to earn money online. To give you an idea, you might hook up with a blogging site making $4 per blog. Now, many times, these blogs are between 300 and 400 words, which is about one-half to three-quarters of page, not much. Of course, you would be expected to us proper English, grammar, and spelling, while keeping the content in line with the site's requirements. However, if you were to write six short blogs a month (or for 30 days) at $4 each, you would have just earned $720! Another consideration for making money online with blogging is that in addition to writing for someone else, which also helps that company earn money, you could always start your own blogging site. While this becomes a little more complex, this might be something you enjoy. The key to success with blogging is to work with a great online company but also, to write about thing you like and/or have experienced. Finally, if you work with a site for blogging but notice several topics that would be of interest to readers, never be afraid to make a proposal on something new. For instance, if the blog site has 20 categories but you also feel focus on single parenting, movie reviews, or home improvement interesting, approach the editor or person in charge to ask if they would be willing to create new categories for which you could write. Again, blogging is not a high-paying proposition but with consistency, it is fun and can certainly add to the household income. |
